What should you put on your wedding registry?
Many newly engaged couples have difficulty deciding what to put on their registry, so I thought I’d share some quick bits of information to help you get started making some decisions about what you want to select for your wedding registry!
Some people recommend setting up your registry four to six months before your wedding. This should not go on the invitation or save the dates. It is appropriate to share your registry on your wedding website or with close friends and relatives. Be sure to register for more items than you have the number of invited guests to your wedding and make sure you have a range of prices to make sure you have affordable options for everyone.

Honeymoon Fund – some couples love to travel and can’t afford the cost of a honeymoon. If you already have your household items and want a honeymoon this may be the perfect option for you. Online sites like Traveler’s Joy and Zola. Your trip can be broken down into individual components such as flights, hotel, car rental, excursions, couples' massages, meals, tours, etc. Also, within those components it can be broken down into smaller chunks so one person can give a portion of that flight and it lists how many people are needed to collect the full amount.
First Home Downpayment Fund – Sites like Feather The Nest, Honeyfund or Plumfund allow couples to register for their downpayment or home improvement funds. Any amount can be given, you should check out your options and see which site works best for you.
Gift Card Registry – Some couples opt for gift cards instead of specific gifts on their registry. This minimizes the need to return duplicate items and the options are endless!

And here are some personal things that I would have loved to have not had to invest in when I got married:
Cooking spices
